The Kano State Educational Resources Directorate (KERD) has commenced the distribution of examination materials for the Senior Secondary Qualifying Examination (SSQE) to government schools across the state.
The exercise is aimed at ensuring the smooth, credible and successful conduct of the examination.
The distribution is being coordinated under the leadership of the Permanent Secretary of KERD, Hajiya Rabi Inuwa Hussaini, whose efforts to strengthen the management of educational resources and improve administrative efficiency continue to support the development of the state’s education sector.
Under her supervision, the examination materials are being carefully distributed to various zonal offices for onward delivery to designated custody centres.
The process is being carried out in line with established procedures to ensure accountability, security and effective coordination.
The Permanent Secretary has directed relevant officials to ensure that the materials are handed over only to authorised custody centres, where they will be securely kept until the official commencement of the SSQE.
The arrangement is designed to safeguard the integrity and credibility of the examination by preventing unauthorised access to the materials.
The commencement of the distribution exercise demonstrates the commitment of the Kano State Government, under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, to strengthening the education sector and creating a conducive learning environment for students in public schools across the state.
The initiative also highlights the important role played by KERD in supporting the implementation of government education policies, examination programmes and the effective management of learning resources under the Kano State Ministry of Education, led by Commissioner Dr Ali Haruna Makoda.
Through effective coordination, professional supervision and proper management of educational resources, KERD continues to contribute to efforts to improve educational standards and ensure quality assessment for students across Kano State.
The Directorate has called on education officials, zonal officers, schools and other relevant stakeholders to maintain the highest level of responsibility, security and accountability throughout the exercise and strictly adhere to official guidelines to ensure a successful and credible SSQE.
