The Kogi State Branch of the Council of Ulama’u of Nigeria has expressed its heartfelt condolences over the passing of renowned Islamic Scholar, Shaikh Muhammad Awwal Yusuf Abdullahi.
The Council mourns the loss of this prominent figure, who passed away on Tuesday, 7th Rabiul Awwal, 1446H/10th September 2024.
The Council extends its condolences to Maulana Khalifa Nurudeen Yusuf Abdullahi, the Maigari of Lokoja, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Muhammad Kabir Maikarfi IV, the deceased’s immediate family, relations, friends, colleagues, and admirers.
It also mourns with the entire Muslim Ummah of Lokoja and its environs, the management and staff of the School of Arabic and Islamic Studies Lokoja, and the Markaz family.
The council described Shaikh Muhammad Awwal Yusuf Abdullahi as a proficient Islamic Scholar of their generation, whose loss is deeply felt.
They pray for Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings, shower mercy upon him, grant him Jannat Firdaus, and grant the Ummah the fortitude to bear this painful loss.
The council stands firmly with the bereaved family in prayers and asks them to take solace in the Divine Decision, praying for the gentle soul of the deceased.
They will continue to remember and pray for him along with all deceased Muslims.
