The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), under the chairmanship of Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Usman has airlifted 5,086 pilgrims to Madinah for the Hajj exercise within two days, across 13 scheduled flights.

This information was contained in a statement posted on NAHCON’s official Control Centre, Abuja today.

The statement added that the pilgrims were from Imo, Oyo, Osun, Bauchi, Nasarawa, Adamawa, Kogi and Kebbi States.

The statement noted that the airlines that airlifted the pilgrims are Umza Air, Flynas, Air Peace, and Max Air.

It could be recalled that the NAHCON Chairman, Prof. Usman, during the inaugural flight in Imo State, assured that, “Our target is to complete the entire airlift operation within two weeks, In Shaa Allah.”

“We have made adequate arrangements for the reception of our pilgrims at Madinah and Jeddah Airports,” the Chairman affirmed.

He advised the pilgrims to follow the rules of the Kingdom and those of their country. “Keep yourselves away from harm, whether natural or man-made,” he urged.

Professor Usman said, “As we move forward, we continue to seek the blessings of Almighty Allah and the support of all stakeholders to deliver a smooth and successful Hajj operation.”
