The Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has welcomed the World Bank Country Director, Dr Ndiame Diop, to Nigeria and extended his best wishes as Dr Diop began his tour of duty in the nation.
The visit provided Governor Mutfwang with an opportunity to review ongoing World Bank programmes in the state, to revitalize them for efficient service delivery. A project assessment was conducted, identifying both successes and challenges that require key interventions.
Governor Mutfwang praised the collaboration between the World Bank Group and Plateau State, which has enhanced the achievement of set targets and milestones.
He committed to providing the necessary leadership and counterpart support to ensure all programmes are effectively managed and delivered.
Dr Ndiame Diop appreciated the extensive inputs and review provided by Governor Mutfwang, which offered a comprehensive overview of the state’s policy direction and development agenda.
He commended the Governor for the critical political leadership he provides, which is essential to the success of all development interventions.
