From Muawuya Bala Idris, Katsina
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has commended the Member representing Katsina Federal Constituency, Hon. Sani Aliyu Danlami, for launching an impressive empowerment programme valued at over ₦518 million for his constituents.
Speaking during the distribution ceremony in Katsina, Governor Radda highlighted the tangible impact of the initiative on the lives of the people in the area.
“Today, we witness the distribution of genuine empowerment materials — including motorcycles, grinding machines, irrigation equipment, and sewing machines. This is the kind of impactful representation we need — one that delivers visible and meaningful results to the people,” the governor stated.
He further praised Hon. Danlami’s unwavering commitment to service, citing several road construction projects and other constituency initiatives that have significantly improved the well-being of the people.
“It is rare to see a federal legislator personally distributing empowerment items worth over half a billion naira in a single day. This is truly commendable,” Governor Radda added.
In his remarks, Hon. Danlami lauded Governor Radda for his administration’s strides in education, healthcare, and particularly security, noting that the state’s security situation had improved by 75–80% under the current leadership.
“I want to assure you today that as your representatives in the National Assembly, we are fully behind you. We will continue to collaborate with your administration to ensure the lives of our people improve through meaningful projects and programmes like this,” Hon. Danlami stated.
As part of his personal contribution to the state’s security architecture, the lawmaker donated a Hilux vehicle to support security agencies operating in the area.
He also provided a detailed breakdown of the empowerment programme, which included the distribution of 20 cars, 150 motorcycles, 150 sewing machines, 50 tyre and tube repair kits, 150 irrigation machines, and ₦60 million in direct financial support to beneficiaries.
Also speaking at the event, the Member representing Katsina Local Government at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ali Abu Albaba, expressed gratitude to both the governor and Hon. Danlami.
“The blessings you have brought to Katsina Local Government will go a long way in producing more self-reliant and economically empowered citizens,” he said.
