Governor Mallam Dikko Umar Radda has launched multi-million naira empowerment and education programmes in Sabuwa Local Government Area, aimed at providing employment for youth and women while promoting education.
The initiative was sponsored by philanthropist Eng. Tasiu Abubakar.
During the launch, the governor distributed 80 grinding machines, 10 maize shelling machines, and financial support to over 1,500 women.
Other items included 10,000 exercise books, 1,000 school uniforms, 40 bicycles, and 300 JAMB forms.
Speaking at the event, Governor Radda said, “This programme will empower our youth, create jobs, and ensure more children from disadvantaged backgrounds can access education.”
He urged individuals and organisations to partner with government in providing opportunities for young people.
Earlier, Eng. Tasiu Abubakar said, “Our aim is to sustain these initiatives and support the economic and educational development of Sabuwa community.”
He encouraged beneficiaries to make proper use of the items provided and called for prayers for peace in the state.
