From Mu’awiya Bala Idris, Katsina
Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has urged stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in the state to establish a special committee to identify and reward individuals who have contributed significantly to the growth of the party and the success of his administration.
Radda made the call on Tuesday when a delegation of the APC Stakeholders Forum, led by its state chairman, Alhaji Salisu Mamman Kadandani, paid him a courtesy and solidarity visit in Katsina.
The delegation comprised party elders, commissioners, advisers, local government chairmen and other senior party officials from the 34 local government areas of the state.
“I propose that you establish a committee to identify those who have contributed significantly to this political process of ours, so that we can collectively see what we can do for them. I alone cannot identify everyone, but you can,” the governor said.
He assured that the state government would support the committee to ensure that party members who made sacrifices for the APC and the state were properly recognised and treated fairly.
The governor described the visit as a demonstration of unity, loyalty and confidence in his leadership, thanking the stakeholders for their continued support for his administration and the party.

“I sincerely appreciate this show of solidarity and commitment. Your presence here reflects the unity and strength of our great party and our collective resolve to continue working together for the peace, progress and development of Katsina State,” Radda added.
He noted that the APC Stakeholders Forum and the Renewed Hope Initiative had become critical platforms for grassroots mobilisation, party cohesion and political education, stressing that their roles were vital to strengthening democracy and sustaining public trust in government.
Radda urged party leaders to promote discipline, tolerance, inclusiveness and collective responsibility, describing unity as the party’s greatest strength and the surest path to sustainable development and future electoral success.
“Our strength lies in our unity. When we work together with sincerity, mutual respect and a shared vision, no challenge is insurmountable,” he said.
Earlier, Kadandani said the visit was aimed at strengthening internal unity, appreciating the governor’s leadership and consolidating the party’s structure across the state.
He commended Radda for achievements recorded in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, security and human capital development, saying the administration had restored public confidence in governance.
According to him, the governor’s commitment to transparency, accountability and inclusiveness had ensured that the dividends of democracy were reaching communities at the grassroots.
Also speaking, the Katsina State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative and former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Tukur Ahmad Jikamshi, said the initiative had gained wide acceptance across the state and was fully mobilised to support the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We are fortunate in Katsina State because we have concrete achievements to present to the people,” Jikamshi said.
He added that projects executed by the Radda administration in key sectors were visible and impactful, giving party members confidence as they engaged with the grassroots.
Jikamshi also commended the governor for fostering unity among party leaders, local government chairmen and stakeholders, noting that his inclusive leadership style had strengthened party cohesion.
Meanwhile, the party stakeholders also paid a similar solidarity visit to former governor Aminu Bello Masari, congratulating him on his appointment as North-West Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Initiative.
