Renovation work at the Government Secondary School (GSS), Unguwar Gano, in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State, has reached an advanced stage, according to the Member representing Tarauni Constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS).
Hon. Kabiru made this known during an interview with the Information Officer of Tarauni Local Government, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro, in his office.
He explained that the renovation project is part of his commitment to promoting education in line with the vision of the Kano State Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, whose administration has prioritized education as a key driver of development.
“The project includes classroom renovations, roof replacements, wall painting, and the provision of modern desks and chairs for students,” the lawmaker said. “Our goal is to create a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for students in Tarauni.”
Hon. Kabiru noted that his decision to invest in education stems from his belief that the foundation of a prosperous community lies in access to quality education.
“I made a commitment from the beginning of my tenure to improve school infrastructure across Tarauni, and I am happy that the people are beginning to see the results,” he added.
The legislator also appealed to residents and community leaders to take ownership of the projects and ensure proper maintenance of public facilities provided in the ten wards of the local government.
He expressed gratitude to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, the Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, and the NNPP leadership in the area for their continuous support in delivering developmental initiatives to the people.
The ongoing project is part of broader efforts to strengthen education infrastructure across Kano State and improve access to quality learning environments for students.
