The newly elected Chairman of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria, Kano State Chapter, Comrade Auwal Bello Isma’il Danhajiya, has pledged that the association will partner with the Kano State Government to strengthen and modernise the state’s transportation sector.
Danhajiya made the commitment during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, at the Government House.
In a statement signed by the association’s secretary, Comrade Tijjani Ahmad, the chairman outlined the new leadership’s priorities, which include overhauling transport operations, restoring order in motor parks, and creating employment opportunities for young people through the sector.
He appealed to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration to support the association in upgrading motor parks, improving cleanliness and ensuring sanity across major transport hubs in the state.
Responding, Deputy Governor Gwarzo congratulated the newly elected executives and assured them of the state government’s readiness to collaborate with RTEAN to enhance transportation services and operational efficiency in Kano.
