The Member representing Tarauni Local Government in the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS), has flagged off multiple development projects worth over N150 million across various wards in the area.
According to a statement issued by the Information Officer of Tarauni LG, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro, the lawmaker launched key interventions in health, education, and community development aimed at improving the lives of constituents.
The projects include the renovation and upgrade of Bello Maitama Health Centre in Tarauni Ward into a fully equipped admission hospital, the construction of a modern Islamiyya school at Baba Umar Street in Kauyen Alu, and the renovation of Unguwar Gano Primary School to enhance the learning environment. Also listed is the rehabilitation of Shakatafi Clinic in Daurawa, targeted at boosting community healthcare.
Hon. Sule said the projects are part of his efforts to fulfill campaign promises and focus on key sectors like healthcare, education, and youth and women empowerment, adding that capital support would also be extended to boost self-reliance among residents.
He called for full public cooperation to ensure the smooth and timely execution of the projects, appreciating Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, Tarauni LG Chairman Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore, and other dignitaries for their support.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Falgore, who commissioned the projects across Tarauni, Daurawa, Unguwar Gano, and Kauyen Alu, praised the lawmaker’s commitment and pledged continued legislative backing for development efforts in the constituency. He also commissioned the newly completed ADS Islamic Centre within the Tarauni Jumu’at Mosque.
LG Chairman Sekure commended the lawmaker for what he described as “outstanding efforts across all ten wards,” and promised sustained collaboration to attract more projects to the area.
Party leaders and stakeholders, including Alhaji Suleman Inuwa Muhammad Hugan, Salahudden Imam Wali, and special advisers to the governor, applauded the synergy between Hon. Sule and the LG chairman. They pledged continued NNPP support to uplift Tarauni.
In their vote of thanks, Tarauni Ward Councillor Shafi’u A. Dan Aljanah and Village Head Alhaji Muhammad Nura thanked the lawmaker for delivering needs-driven interventions.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by community members, NNPP leaders, security personnel, and government officials.
