In a bid to enhance the standard of education in Tarauni Local Government Area, the Member representing Tarauni Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Alhaji Kabiru Dahiru Sule (ADS), on Wednesday flagged off the renovation of eight classrooms at Government Secondary School (GSS) Unguwa Uku.
Speaking during the flag-off ceremony, Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule said the project is part of his effort to emulate the visionary leadership of Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf in ensuring quality education and creating a conducive learning environment for students.
“This initiative is aimed at providing safe, well-equipped, and academically supportive classrooms for our students,” Kabiru Dahiru Sule stated.
He further pledged to provide free school uniforms for 100 students and supply additional learning materials to support academic excellence at GSS Unguwa Uku.
The lawmaker also highlighted other ongoing and completed developmental projects across Tarauni LGA, including the proposed rehabilitation of the By-Pass to Unguwa Uku Yan Awaki road, the road from Foundation to Tarauni Market, and completed projects in Gyadi-Gyadi Arewa, Babbangiji, Kauyen Alu, and Tarauni Wards, promising that these projects would soon be commissioned for public use.
Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro, Information Officer of Tarauni LG, noted that Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule is committed to continuously investing in educational development and the overall transformation of the constituency.
The Chairman of Tarauni Local Government, represented by his vice Khalid Ayuba Ahmed, commended the lawmaker for delivering meaningful projects across all ten wards of the LGA, particularly the classroom renovation at GSS Unguwa Uku.
He assured continued support from the local government to ensure the sustainability of such initiatives.
Leaders of the NNPP in Tarauni, including Sulaiman Muhammad Inuwa (Hugan), Dr. Salahudeen Na’ibi Wali, and Engineer Sulaiman Sani, along with Special Advisers Abdullahi Sabo Abubakar and Sani Usman Sani, praised Hon. Kabiru Dahiru Sule for his dedication to sponsoring motions and initiatives aimed at transforming lives in the area.
The Principal of GSS Unguwa Uku, Muhammad Muhammad, the Chairman of the Secondary Schools Teachers’ Association in Tarauni LG, Ibrahim Aminu, and the Village Head of Unguwa Uku, Alhaji Mashe, expressed their gratitude to the lawmaker and pledged continued support for the development of the school and community.
The flag-off ceremony drew several dignitaries, including the Special Adviser to the Governor on Islamiyya Schools, Alaramma Ishaq; a representative of the Commissioner of Education, Engineer Badaruddeen Abdullahi; MD of Farm Center, Abdulaziz Usman Mai Tabarma; and numerous community members from Unguwa Uku.
