The Executive Chairman of Tarauni Local Government Area, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Muhammad Sekure, has received a prestigious award from Medals Magazine, Abuja, in recognition of his developmental strides across the council area.
Sekure was named among only nine out of the 44 council chairmen in Kano State honoured by the magazine for what it described as “visionary leadership and significant contributions to grassroots development.”
According to the Information Officer of Tarauni LGA, Adamu Iliyasu Hotoro, the Editor-in-Chief of Medals Magazine, Olalekan Olatunje, said the chairman was selected for his “remarkable achievements across all 10 wards of Tarauni,” including the renovation and equipping of primary healthcare centres, rehabilitation of public schools, and empowerment programmes for women and youth.
Olatunje urged other council bosses in the state to emulate Sekure’s style of leadership, stressing his transparency, dedication and commitment to the welfare of his people.
In his remarks, the Director of Personnel Management of the LGA, Alhaji Tijjani Madaki Gulya, commended the chairman, noting that “meaningful development has reached all 10 wards under his administration.”
Following the award presentation, Sekure, alongside Gulya, visited the residence of former senator and Kwankwasiyya leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to present the award and celebrate the recognition.
