Tofa Local Government Council has purchased 50 Scratch Cards for Junior and Senior Secondary schools Candidates from the area.
The Local Education Secretary, Malam Murtala Shehu Lambu who disclosed this to newsmen recently, said the scratch cards are for Senior and Junior Science and Technical Schools in Kano State.
He commended the Caretaker Chairman of the council for his efforts to support students from the less privileged families to pursue their education.
Alhaji Lambu therefore enjoined Headmasters and Principals to ensure judicious distribution of the scratch cards to eligible students to achieve the set objectives of the education policies of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf administration.
He said the gesture by the chairman is being seen as bold step to improve in education in the area, as contained in a statement issued by Abdu Bako Abdullahi, the Information Officer of the council.
