The Kano State Police Command has congratulated workers across the state on the occasion of the International Workers’ Day 2026, commending their resilience and contributions to socio-economic development.
In a goodwill message the Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, lauded the dedication of workers in both public and private sectors, describing them as the backbone of progress in Kano State and Nigeria at large.
Bakori paid special tribute to security personnel, health workers, teachers, artisans, traders, farmers, transporters, journalists and civil servants noting that their sacrifices often under challenging conditions have sustained growth and stability in the state.
He also reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
According to him, the Command will continue to strengthen visibility policing, intelligence-led operations and community partnerships to ensure a safe environment for workers and residents.
The police boss urged citizens to remain law-abiding, peaceful, and vigilant, warning against violence, thuggery and other forms of criminality.
He emphasized the importance of public cooperation, particularly through the provision of timely and credible information to security agencies.
Bakori further called on workers to use the occasion to renew their commitment to unity, patriotism and hard work toward building a more secure and prosperous Kano State.
He wished all workers a peaceful and memorable celebration.
