The Yobe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), alongside its governorship candidate, has undertaken a crucial consultation visit to Senator Ibrahim Gaidam, the Minister of Police Affairs, at his Abuja residence in a bold move aimed at strengthening party cohesion.
According to Hajiya Sa’adatu Maina, Press Secretary to the Yobe State APC Chairman, the delegation was led by the Yobe APC State Chairman, Alhaji Mohammad Gadaka, and the party’s flagbearer, Alhaji Baba Malam Wali.
She described the meeting as a pivotal part of the party’s ongoing strategic reconciliation tour across the state.
The visit, steeped in political symbolism, served as a high-profile homage to the man widely regarded as the supreme leader of Yobe politics.
More than a mere courtesy call, the gathering was a profound display of humility, political maturity, and unwavering loyalty to the foundational pillars of the APC in Yobe.
By paying tribute to Senator Gaidam, whose decades of sacrifice and strategic foresight helped establish the APC’s stronghold in the state, the current leadership signalled that the party’s future remains firmly rooted in respect for its past.
Speaking after the closed-door session, Chairman Gadaka emphasized the timeless principle reaffirmed by the meeting: leadership grows stronger when grounded in consultation and mutual respect.
The governorship candidate, Alhaji Baba Malam Wali, noted that the consultation was not merely about politics but also about preserving a legacy of unity and collective purpose.
As the reconciliation tour continues, the Abuja meeting is expected to set the tone for a seamless campaign, reinforcing the ideals of loyalty, respect, and shared vision that have come to define the APC in Yobe State.
