The new secretary of Zamfara State Board of Internal Revenue Service, Alhaji Abubakar Musa Ahmad Bungudu, said the board was striving towards increasing Internally Generated Revenue, therefore the government faced challenges in executing new and completing abandoned projects in the state.
The new secretary of the board promised to Pledge to work diligently to support the Executive Chairperson of the board Hajiya Rakiya Ahmad Dodo in achieving the State government ‘rescue mission’ of Governor Dr Dauda Lawal’s led administration.
The secretary declared this when our correspondent paid him a courtesy visit to his office.
He promised to work hand in hand with the board’s executive directors, directors, and all other staff of the board to uplift the board to the highest level in the area of achievement.
“The burden is now heavy on us to be able to generate more IGR so that the state can service the desired relevant projects across the state, apart from payment of salary.
”We’re also calling on the Zamfara State citizens to cooperate and support government policies in ensuring that we overcome our grappling challenges,” he said.
She also called on the people of the State to continue to support the developmental programmes of the State Governor, Dr Dauda Lawal, in making the State a model among states in the country.
