The Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, has been named the Public Service Person of the Year 2024 at the 17th edition of the Leadership Conference and Awards held in Abuja.
The award, presented by the Leadership Group, recognises Adeniyi’s outstanding performance since assuming office as Comptroller-General. According to the organisers, he emerged as the top choice after a rigorous assessment of over ten high-performing government officials.
In a statement at the event, the media organisation praised Adeniyi for his “transformative leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service, which has ushered in a new era of transparency, operational efficiency, and improved revenue generation—contributing significantly to Nigeria’s economic stability.”
