In the preparation for the upcoming 2024 Hajj pilgrimage, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board’s Hajj Committee on Media, led by its chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, has commenced a series of visits to radio stations across the state.
Speaking to The Triumph correspondent yesterday, Shuaibu noted that the initiative aims to foster a strong working relationship between the committee and Kano’s media landscape to ensure the timely and accurate dissemination of vital information to all intending pilgrims and the general public.
According to him, during the first phase of the tour, the Media Team visited three radio stations: Freedom, Arewa Radio and Express Radio
Shuaibu added that, the visits provided him and his team an opportunity to engage with station representatives and discuss plans for effective communication strategies throughout the Hajj season.
He said: “These visits are crucial in ensuring a smooth and well-informed Hajj experience for our pilgrims.
“The airlift for intending pilgrims in Kano is expected to kick-start on Friday, therefore, we’ve tighten our congenial rapports with media stations in the state.
“By collaborating with Kano’s esteemed radio stations, we can guarantee that vital information regarding to the travel arrangements, and essential guidance reaches every corner of the state,” stated Alhaji Shuaibu.
The Triumph learned that the move of the Media Team to the tour of radio stations signifies their dedication to open communication and transparency in the run-up to and the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage.
