A Katsina-based foundation known as (Gidauniya) has donated medical equipment worth ₦83.3millon to 388 health centres in the state.
The chairman board of trustees of the foundation, Umaru Mutaallab announced this while handing medical equipment to nine selected health centres.
Represented by a member of the board of trustees of the foundation, Aliyu Musa Dangiwa, Mutaallab said the donation covered from 1993 to date.
He said the donation of the equipment was part of the effort to improve the delivery of health services to the people.
“We will sustain the assistance to our health centres to address the shortage of equipment and improve their performance,” he added.
Earlier speaking, Executive Secretary of the foundation, Ahmed Ibrahim Karfi said the donation to the nine health centres was under the Foundation 2024 Health Sector programme.
According to him, the benefitting health centres are selected from Dutsinma, Charanchi, Safana, Danja, Musawa, Dandume, kankia, Bindawa and Baure He said the equipment includes Beds, Drips, Stand with rollers, Dressing tables, kidney dish, Blanket among others.
