Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has announced the launch of a fertilizer sales initiative to benefit farmers across the state’s 44 local government areas, set to align with this year’s rainy season.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Tuesday.
Governor Yusuf said this during the 16th Kano State Executive Council meeting at the Council chamber, Government House, Kano.
He emphasized that the initiative aims to ensure a fruitful harvest and a seamless farming season for local farmers.
Additionally, the Governor revealed plans to distribute electricity transformers to communities within the 44 local government areas.
This provision aims to enhance power supply and stimulate growth in small-scale industries and economic activities, particularly in rural areas.
Expressing gratitude for the support and collaboration of Kano’s populace, Governor Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to executing developmental projects that directly improve the livelihoods of the state’s residents.
