A member of the Federal House of Representatives, Sada Soli Jibia, has provided cash assistance to victims of flood disaster in the Jibia local government area of the state.
Solo, who visited Bugaje and Katsina sympathy with the people of the areas over the destruction of houses caused by the flood.
“I am here to sympathise with you on the flood disaster. l urged you to consider what happened as ordained by Allah,” Soli said.
The lawmaker representing Jibia/Kaita Federal Constituency donated the sum of ₦2millon to the victims.
He pledged to source state and Federal Government assistance to the victims to alleviate their grief.
He further called on the people of the villages to continue to pray for peace and stability to prevail in the state and the county at large.
He, however, assured them that his doors remain open for any assistance.
Earlier speaking, the District Head of Dadara and Danmadamin Katsina Usman Usman Nagogo commended Soli for the sympathy visit, saying it indicated the concern of the lawmaker for his people.
Usman called on the victims to make good use of the money given to them.
In his speech, the Chairman of Jibia local government, Sabiu Metan, said the council will assess the damage caused by the flood and provide assistance to the victims.
A cross-section of the beneficiaries interviewed by The Triumph expressed their profound appreciation for the donation.
Ibrahim Bugaje, one of the victims of the flood disaster told our correspondent that Soli was the only elected politician who visited them and made the donation.
The lawmaker was accompanied by the APC candidate for Jibia local government, Sirajo Ado, and other APC local Government executives.
