Katsina State Government has honoured 14 civil servants for their outstanding performance in the state civil service.
Our correspondent reports that the honour coincides with the 37th anniversary of the creation of Katsina state.
Out of the figure, 10 civil servants were given N2million each while four received cars
Speaking at the occasion held at the government house, Governor Dikko Umar Radda reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to improve the welfare of civil servants in the state.
Radda said the government resolved to honour outstanding civil servants as motivation for better service for the state.
He called on all civil servants to cooperate with the government on the ongoing reform of the state civil service.
Responding on behalf of the workers, the state head of service, Falalu Bawale, thanked the government for introducing the award, noting that it will go a long way to encourage civil servants to better performance
He said those honours were selected from different ministries and departments by their supervising directors.
