The Federal Government has announced that Tuesday, October 1, 2024, will be a public holiday to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.
The declaration was made in an official statement by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, which was issued on Saturday.
In his statement, Tunji-Ojo extended warm greetings to Nigerians both at home and abroad, commending the nation’s hardworking citizens for their unwavering dedication.
He emphasized the importance of reflecting on the sacrifices of past heroes and using their legacy as inspiration for a brighter future.
The Minister stressed that unity is essential for building the Nigeria of our dreams and urged all citizens to remain steadfast in their commitment to nation-building.
