From Umar Danladi Ado, Sokoto
All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned individuals and groups it accuses of undermining the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
This was contained in a statement issued on Saturday in Sokoto by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Media to the APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, Malam Yusuf Abubakar Dingyadi.
Dingyadi said that some groups, mostly from opposition parties, were using social media platforms to spread false and unfounded reports about the President’s performance.
He noted that such individuals prioritise selfish interests over patriotism, national peace, security, and nation-building.
He further stressed that the use of misleading information, baseless accusations, and political propaganda to discredit the achievements of President Tinubu’s administration, particularly in the North, should be condemned.
According to him, Nigerians should acknowledge the improvements in security, developmental strides, and various projects executed in the interest of the people, as this would encourage continuity in governance.
“The use of vulgar language, unwarranted criticism, and the spread of false information is not expected from responsible and patriotic Nigerians, especially considering the state of the country before Tinubu’s administration,” he said.
Dingyadi added that the APC National Working Committee, under the leadership of Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has driven transformation in the economy, improved security, and made progress in agriculture, education, and healthcare, as well as in road and housing construction and social intervention programmes.
He stated that the APC would continue to work towards improving the lives of Nigerians in all sectors while countering misinformation aimed at undermining the administration’s achievements.
Dingyadi urged Nigerians to be cautious of misleading narratives from opposition parties and critics seeking support by discrediting the government’s efforts.
