From Maawuya Bala Idris, Katsina Hajia Dada Yar’adua, the mother of late Nigerian President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, passed away peacefully in Katsina, her hometown. The Triumph gathered the deceased dead at Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina on Monday evening after a brief illness. Aged 102, the news of her demise was confirmed by family sources. The family is expected to announce funeral rites later. Yar’adua served as the President of Nigeria from 2007 until his death in May 2010.
