The Basic Mass Communication Old Students Association (BMCOSA) of Basic Mass Communication School Goron Dutse, Kano, announced its new acting leadership committee.
The team which it described as dedicated alumni is tasked with the mission to foster unity, encourage lifelong learning, and support the professional development of its members.
This was contained In a statement made available to The Triumph on Monday by Aminu Garba Indabawa, public relations officer of the association.
He said the proposed acting leadership is well-equipped with diverse expertise and a shared vision to enhance the value of mass communication education within and beyond national borders.
The leadership team is composed of the following members:
1. Chairman: Isma’ila Ammai Mai Zare
2. Deputy Chairman: Bashir Habib Yahya
3. Secretary: Khalifa Shehu Dokaji
4. Assistant Secretary: Halima Wada Sinkin
5. Treasurer: Fatihu Isa Abdullahi
6. Public Relations Officer I: Aminu Garba Indabawa
7. Public Relations Officer II: Kawu Muhammad
8. Organizing Secretary I: Sadik Gawuna Garba
9. Organizing Secretary II: Farida Haruna Isma’il
10. Academic/Professional Development Officer I: Rabiu Salisu
11. Academic/ Professional Development Officer II: Musbahu Uba
12. Director Finance I: Lurwanu Idris Malikawa Garu

“The newly appointed leaders are set to guide BMCOSA through a period of strategic growth and development.
“Their collective aim is to create a strong network of communication professionals who will actively contribute to the development of media literacy and mass education globally,” he added.
Isma’ila Ammai Mai Zare, the Chairman of the association, states, “It is a privilege to lead such a vibrant community of mass communication experts. Together, we will build on our solid foundation and take BMCOSA to new heights through collaboration, innovation, and dedication to lifelong learning.”
The leadership committee is planning to roll out a series of initiatives that will provide ongoing training, networking opportunities, and support for its members. These initiatives will include partnerships with industry leaders, academic institutions, and other professional associations to enrich the experiences and skills of BMCOSA members.
BMCOSA invites all members, media practitioners, and stakeholders in the field of mass education to support and engage with the new leadership committee as they embark on this exciting new chapter.
