Thousands of residents of Bichi Federal Constituency have commended the member representing the constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, for what they described as his outstanding representation and people-oriented leadership since assuming office in 2019.
In a statement issued by his Senior Legislative Aide (SLA), Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Bichi, the lawmaker was praised for initiating programmes that have positively impacted the lives of his constituents, particularly in the area of education.
According to the statement, Hon. Bichi has, since his inauguration into the House of Representatives in 2019, sponsored hundreds of students from Bichi Federal Constituency who gained admission into universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across the country.
The statement noted that the lawmaker not only pays the tuition fees of the beneficiaries but also provides them with stipends and welfare support to ease the financial burden on their families and enable them to concentrate on their studies.
It further revealed that at the beginning of every academic semester, the students receive additional financial assistance from the lawmaker to cater for their basic academic and personal needs.
Alhaji Ibrahim Ahmed Bichi also disclosed that Hon. Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi is committed to accelerating the development of Bichi Federal Constituency through the provision of critical infrastructure and other social amenities aimed at improving the living standards of the people.
He added that several constituency development projects are being planned and executed to ensure that every community in the constituency benefits from quality representation and sustainable development.
The constituents expressed confidence in the lawmaker’s leadership and urged him to sustain the developmental strides that have continued to attract widespread commendation across the constituency.
