Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of the Executive Chairman of Fufore Local Government Area, Dr Yahaya Saidu.
Governor Fintiri described the death as a painful loss not only to the people of Fufore Local Government Area but also to Adamawa State and the political class.
He said the late chairman would be remembered for his dedication to public service, commitment to democratic governance, and grassroots leadership.
In a statement issued through his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikau, the governor described Dr Saidu’s death as shocking and a great loss to the state.
The statement described the deceased as “a dedicated public servant, a committed party man and a grassroots leader who demonstrated a genuine commitment to the service of his people and the state.”
Fintiri said Dr Saidu was just settling down to give his best to the development of Fufore at a time when his services were most needed.
“His death has left a vacuum that will be difficult to fill,” the governor said.
He noted that the late chairman was known for his humility, diligence, and passion for community development, adding that although his tenure was brief, it showed promise of purposeful leadership and a strong commitment to the welfare of his people.
The governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the deceased’s immediate family, the people of Fufore Local Government Area, his friends, political associates, and all those affected by the loss.
“On behalf of my family, the government and the good people of Adamawa State, I extend my deepest condolences to his immediate family, the people of Fufore Local Government Area, his friends and political associates over this painful loss,” Fintiri said.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family, the people of Fufore, and the entire state the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The governor concluded by praying that Almighty Allah grant the deceased eternal rest.
