Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed deep sadness over the death of the Barden Ƙerarriyar Kano, Alhaji Shehu Kabir Bayero, who passed away in Cairo, Egypt.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Tuesday.
Governor Yusuf described the death of Alhaji Shehu Kabir Bayero as a great loss to the Kano Emirate, his family, friends and the people of Kano State.
He described the deceased as a respected traditional title holder who dedicated himself to the service of the Kano Emirate and the promotion of its rich cultural heritage.
The Governor extended his heartfelt condolences to the Kano Emirate, the deceased’s family, relatives and associates, praying Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.
He also prayed Almighty Allah to grant the family, the Kano Emirate and all those affected by the loss the strength and patience to bear the irreparable loss.
