The Executive Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has described the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Children and Persons with Special Needs, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani, as a tested, trusted, honest, and transparent public servant whose dedication to duty has earned her the confidence of the government.
The Governor made the remarks during his Sallah visit to the Nassarawa Children’s Home, where he interacted with residents and shared a meal with them as part of efforts to celebrate the festive season with vulnerable members of society.
Governor Yusuf disclosed that, unknown to the commissioner, he had on several occasions monitored and assessed the management of the Ministry under her leadership and was highly impressed by the transparency, accountability, and integrity she demonstrated in carrying out her responsibilities.
According to the Governor, the Commissioner has justified the confidence reposed in her through the prudent management of resources and her unwavering commitment to improving the welfare of women, children, and persons with special needs across the state.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable groups, stressing that their welfare remains a top priority of his government.
He further announced plans to transform the Nassarawa Children’s Home into a modern and well-equipped facility with the necessary infrastructure and amenities to provide a safe, comfortable, and conducive environment for the children and other residents.
Governor Yusuf assured the residents that his administration would continue to implement programmes and projects aimed at enhancing their well-being, education, healthcare, and overall quality of life.
Earlier, the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Children and Persons with Special Needs, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi Sani, expressed profound appreciation to the Governor for his unwavering support, commitment, and compassion towards the residents of the Home.
She highlighted the various interventions provided by the present administration, including regular food supplies, improved electricity and water supply, access to education and healthcare services, and the provision of a safe and conducive living environment for the residents.
The Commissioner noted that the Governor’s visit, interaction, and meal with the children and other residents were clear demonstrations of his compassion, fatherly concern, and commitment to the welfare of vulnerable citizens in the state.
The residents of the Home expressed delight over the Governor’s visit, describing it as a morale booster and a demonstration that they remain an important part of society.
They also commended the Governor for personally assessing their living conditions and pledged their continued support for his administration’s efforts to improve their welfare.
