Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, accompanied by numerous government dignitaries, stood in solidarity with Vice President Senator Kashim Shattima during the funeral ceremonies of Shattima’s mother-in-law, Hajiya Maryam Abubakar Albishir.
The funeral prayer, held at the deceased’s husband’s residence on Tiga Road in the Bompai area, drew a large number of mourners from both local and distant places. The prayer was led by Imam Nuhu Yankaba.
Hajiya Maryam Abubakar Albishir passed away yesterday after battling a prolonged illness, leaving behind her husband, Alhaji Abubakar Albishir, eight children, and the Vice President’s wife, Hajiya Nana Shattima.
The late Hajiya Maryam Abubakar Albishir was laid to rest at Dandolo cemetery amidst continuous prayers for the peaceful repose of her soul.
Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Minister of Agriculture Abubakar Kyari, Minister of Housing and Urban Development Engr. Abdullahi Tijjani Muhammad Gwarzo, former Borno State Governor Senator Ali Modu Sherrif, along with other prominent figures, accompanied the Vice President to Kano for the burial.
