Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared the 2nd edition of the military and paramilitary games organized by the Kano State Sports Commission at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kofar Mata on Sunday.
The governor who represented by the Chief of Staff Government House, Alhaji Shehu Wada Sagagi, said the Kano state government is keen on developing sports activities in the state to strides contribute to the economy, healthcare, and well-being of Youths.
The chief staff said the idea behind creating the competition was to promote mutual understanding between security agencies to promote peace and unity among them.
The Nigerian Air Force football team spirit moved higher after a rebounrebounde second half of the match to equalize. the team continued its dominance and defeated KAROTA by 2-1.
The games will feature over 675 athletes, both males and females from the military and paramilitary, who will participate in different games such as athletics, badminton, basketball, football, and golf.
The rest of the games are Judo, karate, table tennis, tennis and volleyball at different venues.
