The Gombe State Association of Hotel, Travel and Event Managers (GSAHTEM) has announced plans to organise a three-day certification training programme aimed at enhancing professionalism among practitioners in the hospitality, tourism, and travel industry.
The association disclosed this during its meeting where members discussed preparations for the upcoming training scheduled to hold at the Gombe International Hotel (GIH).
In a statement signed by Mr Bala Bobbo, GSAHTEM urged professionals in the sector to take advantage of the opportunity to obtain certification from an accredited institution of the Federal Government through the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR).
According to the statement, participants will receive certificates from the Chartered Institute of Hospitality, Tourism Management of America (CIHTMA) and the Certified Institute for Hospitality, Tourism and Management Research Development of Nigeria (CIHTRDN).
The three-day certification programme is scheduled to commence on July 28 and end on July 30, 2026, at the Gombe International Hotel, with sessions beginning at 9:00am daily.
GSAHTEM called on stakeholders and practitioners in the hospitality and tourism industry to participate in what it described as a historic event aimed at improving skills, professionalism, and industry standards in Gombe State.
