The newly inaugurated Deputy Chairman of the Hajj and Umrah Tour Operators Association of Nigeria (HUTON), Kano Zone, Yusuf Gadonkaya, has called on the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to ensure equal treatment of all stakeholders in the Hajj and Umrah industry.
Gadonkaya made the appeal shortly after his inauguration as Deputy Chairman of the association’s Kano Zone Caretaker Committee at its branch office in Kano.
He urged the NAHCON leadership to promote fairness, transparency and inclusiveness in its dealings with Hajj and Umrah tour operators, describing them as partners working towards the development of the sector.
According to him, tour operators are colleagues and members of one professional family who deserve equal opportunities and consideration.
He expressed confidence in the leadership of the NAHCON Chairman, describing him as a person of integrity and simplicity, while urging him to sustain transparency and fairness in the administration of Hajj and Umrah activities.
Gadonkaya also pledged the association’s cooperation with NAHCON and other relevant stakeholders towards improving the sector.
The inauguration was attended by the National President of HUTON, Comrade Auwalu Muhammad Suleiman, who participated in the swearing-in of the newly constituted Kano Zone Caretaker Committee.
