Christiana Gokyo, Jos
In view of the satisfactory improvement in the security situation in Jos North Local Government Area and its environs, the Plateau State Government, in consultation with security agencies, has further relaxed the curfew imposed in the wake of recent disturbances.
Effective from Wednesday, 15th April 2026, the curfew will now be observed from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the Rt. Hon. Joyce Lohya Ramnap, Commissioner for Information and Communication, Plateau State.
Citizens within the affected areas are therefore advised to strictly adhere to the stipulated curfew hours.
The Plateau State Government acknowledges the cooperation demonstrated by citizens in achieving the current level of improved security.
The government also urges residents to sustain this spirit as efforts continue towards restoring full normalcy to Jos North and the state at large.
Furthermore, while the government remains committed to ensuring the safety of all, citizens are encouraged to report any suspicious or untoward behaviour to security agencies.
