A prominent administrator and political figure, Usman Bala, has declared his intention to contest for the Kano Central Senatorial seat, saying his decision was in response to calls and appeals from members of his community.
Usman Bala, who previously served as Chief of Staff, Principal Private Secretary (PPS), and Head of Service, is an indigene of Nassarawa Local Government Area, Brigade in Kano State.
Speaking to our reporter, Bala said he did not initially plan to join the senatorial race but was persuaded by overwhelming support and encouragement from his community.
“I am answering the call of my people. They have shown confidence in me and urged me to represent them at the National Assembly.
“Despite the presence of many capable individuals, they singled me out for this important responsibility,” he said.
He noted that Kano Central Senatorial District still faces several developmental challenges, stressing the need for experienced and committed leadership to address them effectively.
According to him, his years of service in various key government positions have equipped him with the necessary experience to deliver quality representation and bring meaningful development to the district.
Bala further expressed optimism about his chances in the contest, praying for success for himself and his party.
“My prayer is for victory , for myself and for our amiable governor. By the grace of God, Kano will remain strong and united under the APC,” he added.
