The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Saturday attended the wedding ceremony of Rabiu Sale Kausani and Aisha Aminu Sabo in Bauchi State, where he stood as the representative (Waliyyi) of the groom.
The wedding, conducted in accordance with Islamic rites, took place at the palace of the District Head of Chinkani, Alhaji Abdulkadir Bello, in Chinkani, Giade Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The District Head of Chinkani served as the guardian (Waliyyi) of the bride, while Garo represented the groom during the solemnisation.
Rabiu is the son of a former Kano State Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Saleh Kausani Wudil.
A dowry of N200,000 was paid to solemnise the marriage in the presence of family members, friends, traditional rulers and other well-wishers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Garo congratulated the two families and prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the newly married couple.
“Marriage is a sacred institution built on love, patience and mutual understanding. I pray Almighty Allah blesses this union with peace, prosperity and righteous offspring,” he said.
The deputy governor urged the couple to uphold the values of love, tolerance and responsibility in building a stable and successful home.
He also wished them a happy and enduring marital life, urging them to remain committed to the teachings of Islam in their relationship.
