Kano State Deputy Governor, Murtala Sule Garo, on Monday represented Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at the funeral prayer for Fa’iza Usman Yahaya Kansila, wife of businessman Usman Yahaya Kansila.
The funeral prayer was held at Alfurqan Juma’at Mosque, Kano, and was led by Sheikh Ibrahim Khalil.
Fa’iza died on Thursday in Turkey at the age of 45 after an illness.
She was survived by her husband and five children.
Speaking at the funeral, Garo conveyed the condolences of the Kano State Government to the deceased’s family.
He prayed to Allah to forgive the deceased’s shortcomings and grant her eternal rest.
Garo also prayed that Allah grant her Jannatul Firdausi and make it her final abode.
The deputy governor prayed for strength and fortitude for the family to bear the loss.
The deceased was the wife of Usman Yahaya Kansila, Chairman of UYK Nigeria Limited.
