The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, on Saturday stood as marriage guardian and gave out the daughter of Alhaji Nasir Isa, popularly known as Jarman Karaye, in marriage to Ibrahim Sa’id.
The wedding Fatiha was solemnised at about 11:00 a.m. at the Old Site of Bayero University, Kano, in the presence of family members, Islamic scholars, political associates and other dignitaries.
The groom, through his representative, paid a dowry of N300,000 as part of the marriage rites.
Speaking at the ceremony, Garo congratulated the newly married couple and prayed for a peaceful, successful and enduring union.
He urged them to build their home on the principles of mutual respect, patience, understanding and the fear of God.
“Marriage is a sacred institution that requires commitment, sacrifice and tolerance. I pray Almighty Allah blesses this union with peace, prosperity, love and righteous offspring,” the deputy governor said.
He also advised the couple to uphold Islamic values and remain supportive of one another in order to sustain a stable and happy home.
The ceremony attracted prominent personalities from within and outside Kano State, who offered prayers for the couple and their families.
