Pilgrims from Kano State are enjoying a comfortable stay in Minna, with adequate food supply and medical care as the 2026 Hajj rites commenced on Monday.
A total of 3,620 pilgrims from Kano State are among the millions of Muslims participating in this year’s Hajj exercise.
This was contained in a press release issued by Mustapha Muhammad, Head of the Media Team of Kano Hajj Operations 2026.
Many of the Kano pilgrims expressed satisfaction with the variety of meals being provided since their arrival, as well as the healthcare services available to them.
A visit to the kitchen where meals are prepared showed cooks busy making lunch consisting of rice, chicken, juice, water, and oranges.
Tea and coffee are also readily available at different locations from morning till evening, while refrigerators stocked with water and assorted juices are accessible free of charge to pilgrims at all times.
Similarly, a visit to the clinics established by the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board in Minna showed medical personnel attending to pilgrims who required healthcare services.
Meanwhile, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, was seen inspecting the tents and interacting with pilgrims to identify and promptly address any challenges or concerns.
These efforts have made the Kano pilgrims comfortable and cheerful throughout their stay in Minna.
“Is there any problem?” the Director General, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, was repeatedly heard asking pilgrims while moving around the tents and prayer areas.
This demonstrates the concern and commitment of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board and, by extension, the Kano State Government under the leadership of Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf toward the welfare of Kano pilgrims.
