Katsina State Internal Revenue Service (lRS) has made significant improvements with the generation of N2.024 billion for September 2024.
The amount is against N500,700 million generated by the past immediate administration in the state.
A statement issued and signed by the Director of Corporate Communication, Sada Shuaibu said the amount is also against N1.4 billion generated in August this year.
The statement attributed an increase in revenue as a result of various measures introduced by new management under the leadership of the executive chairman of the service, Mahammed Isiyaku.
“The collection of September supersede the projected revenue by the government,” the statement reads.
The statement further added, “The collection was as a result of curbing leakages as well as the introduction of the central billing system of tax payment,” the statement added.
According to him, the feat will be maintained to ensure the government has enough funds to execute projects for the people of the state.
