The leadership of Jama’atul Izalatul Bidiah Wa”igamatul Sunnah (JIBWIS) in Katsina State has denied receiving rice from the federal government for distribution to members.
The state Chairman of JIBWIS, Sheikh Yakubu Musa Hassan, told newsmen that not a single bag of rice was donated to the Islamic sect by the federal government or any individual.
His words: “JIBWiS has not collected bags of rice from Federal Government. those circulating the rumour are our enemies.”
“I called on Muslim Ummah to disregard the rumour; it is not true but the handwork of our enemies who are out to tarnish our image,” further said.
In the ongoing hunger protest, Shiekh Hassan throws a challenge to the federal government to look inward and provide a solution to the demands of protesters.
He said President Tinubu must wake up and address insecurity, hunger and economic instability to save the country from anarchy.
He advised President Tinubu to focus attention on massive training of youth on different skills to address the unemployment problem.
According to him disbursing money and food items is palliative for the people and is not a solution but providing people with job opportunities.
Sheikh Hassan directed members of JIBWIS to embark on prayers for Allah’s intervention in the Country’s problems.
