The Kano State Health Trust Fund (KHETFUND) on 28th August 2026 concluded a two day sensitization engagement with Dawakin Tofa and Bichi Zones,aimed at strengthening awareness of the funds achievement and procedures for accessing regular Health intervention.
This was containing in statement issued by Agency public relation officer Amina Lawan Isa which made available to Journalists.
The Executive Secretary of Kano State Trust Fund, Dr Fatima Usman Zahradeen highlighted key interventions and achievement recorded have encouraged stakeholders from Dawakin Tofa and Bichi to seek clarification on how samilar intervention could be accessed.
She therefore emphasized the need for PHCC,ZD and WTO from Bichi to follow the established and approved procedures when requesting intervention from KHETFUND
She urged the participant to properly document their Needs and channel requests through the appropriate authorities to ensure transparency,accountability and equitable distribution.
In his remarks the Director General Kano state Primary Healthcare Management Board(PHCMB) Professor Salisu Ahmad Ibrahim commended KHETFUND For organizing the sensitization
meeting,describing it as an important platform for strengthening collaboration between the Fund, Health Institution and Stakeholder at the grassroots.
Professor Salisu encouraged participants to take advantage of the knowledge gained during the engagement and ensure that their health needs are presented through the approved channels.
The engagement,which commenced on 27/8/26 and ended on 28/8/26 successfully provided PHCC,ZD and WTOs from Bichi and Dawakin Tofa Zones with a clear understanding of kHETFUND’s achievements, intervention opportunities and the procedures required to access regular support.
