The Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved the constitution of a high-powered committee to coordinate activities marking the third anniversary of his administration.
The committee is expected to design and implement programmes that will showcase the achievements recorded by the administration across key sectors.
The committee comprises the Secretary to the Government of Kano State, Alhaji Umar Faruk Ibrahim; the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, NIM; as well as commissioners and special advisers to the governor.
Their inclusion reflects the government’s commitment to ensuring a credible and well-structured celebration that will highlight the progress made so far.
The committee has been mandated to immediately commence work on planning activities that will project the administration’s achievements in critical sectors, including infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, environmental management, rural development, and other areas of governance.
The anniversary celebration is also expected to serve as a platform to further demonstrate the administration’s commitment to good governance, transparency, accountability, and people-oriented policies over the past three years.
The committee is expected to ensure a well-coordinated and impactful celebration that will provide citizens and stakeholders with the opportunity to assess the milestones achieved under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s leadership since assuming office.
