The Acting Managing Director of The Triumph Publishing Company, Malam Muhammad Hamisu Abdullahi has advised student journalists to work hard and develop a passion for journalism to achieve success not only in their academic careers but also when finding themselves in media houses.
The Managing Director gave the advice when the students of Double Success View College of Basic Journalism paid him a visit at his office, recently, as part of their excursion to the media house (Triumph Publishing Company).
He also called on them to always go by the code and conduct of journalism without being biased when reporting news or anything related to the work of journalism.
The Managing Director has however appreciated the effort of the school, director, Mal. Muhammad Sani Abubakar for initiating such a college in Kano where youths receive practical training in journalism.
On his part, the Director of the school, Muhammad Sani Abubakar thanked the entire staff of Triumph Publishing Company for the support and cooperation they gave to them during their visit.
The students of Double Success View College of Basic Journalism have gone around the entire Triumph Publishing Company where they received lecturers in various aspects of print media.
They were taken to a computer site where they were shown how reporters send their stories; and how the stories were edited, designed and attached with the most appropriate pictures.
Similarly, they were taken to other departments ranging from commercial areas to printing sites where The Triumph, Albishir and Alfijir Newspaper are published.
Similarly, the students of the college, shortly after interviewing the Managing Director of The Triumph expressed their deepest gratitude to other staff, particularly Mal. Mu’awiyya Abdullahi Kamba, Salisu Baso, Abba Dukawa, and Usman Usman Garba among others for their tireless effort.
