In recognition of his outstanding contributions to business development, youth empowerment and humanitarian services, the North Central Journalists Forum (NCJF) has honoured the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Iggah Global Building Materials, Alhaji Jibrin Abu Suleiman, popularly known as “Mutuwa Dole”, with the 2026 Humanitarian Services and Most Business Icon Award.
The award was presented recently in Nasarawa Local Government Area of Nasarawa State by the Forum, which comprises journalists from across the North Central states, including Nasarawa, Benue, Kogi, Plateau, Niger, Kaduna and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Speaking during the presentation, the Nasarawa State Coordinator of NCJF, Mr. Moses Yusuf, said the recognition was based on merit, describing Alhaji Jibrin Suleiman as a young entrepreneur whose business achievements and social contributions have positively impacted his community, Nasarawa State and Nigeria at large.
He said the award was in appreciation of the businessman’s commitment to job creation, humanitarian interventions and sustained empowerment of youths and women.
“Alhaji Jibrin and his company, Iggah Global Building Materials, have made significant contributions to the development of Nasarawa community by providing quality building materials, creating employment opportunities and stimulating local economic activities,” Yusuf stated.
The NCJF coordinator, who is also a correspondent with Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS), commended the business mogul for investing his resources in ways that have reduced poverty and improved the lives of many young people.
He urged other entrepreneurs across the country to emulate Alhaji Jibrin Suleiman by investing in ventures that promote economic growth, employment creation and social development.
Responding after receiving the award, Alhaji Jibrin Abu Suleiman expressed appreciation to the Forum for recognising his efforts, describing the honour as a motivation to continue contributing to humanity.
He dedicated the award to God, his family, his community, the people of Nasarawa Local Government Area and the entire Nasarawa State, while promising to intensify efforts towards empowering more youths and women through his business initiatives.
Highlighting the journey of Iggah Global Building Materials, Alhaji Jibrin said the company, which started 16 years ago with limited resources, has grown into a major business organisation employing many workers.
According to him, thousands of people have benefited directly and indirectly from the business since its establishment.
“I cannot give the exact number of people who have benefited from this business, but what I know is that it is not ten, not twenty, but thousands of people,” he said.
The businessman also revealed that becoming an entrepreneur was not part of his original ambition, explaining that he had once hoped to join the Nigerian Army or become a tanker driver.
He recalled that he attempted the Nigerian Army recruitment exercise six times without success, saying he later realised that God had a different plan for his life.
“I went for Nigerian Army recruitment six times, from the 66th, 67th, 68th, 69th, 70th and 71st Regular Army recruitment, but I was not successful. I also tried tanker driving, but God was preparing something better for me,” he added.
On speculation about joining politics, Alhaji Jibrin ruled out the idea, saying he preferred to focus on his business, which he described as a platform for supporting his family and helping people in society.
He advised aspiring entrepreneurs to be patient, committed and ready to endure challenges, noting that success in business requires perseverance because there are moments of both profit and loss.
The CEO also prayed for the Emir of Nasarawa, His Royal Highness Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibrin, traditional rulers, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, Nasarawa Local Government Chairman Hon. Mahmood Hassan Ahmed and other leaders in the state, wishing them wisdom, good health and protection in their service to the people.
He further called for continued support and collaboration from stakeholders to enable him expand his business operations across Nasarawa State and beyond.
