The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zamfara State Council, has congratulated Dauda Lawal on the occasion of his third anniversary in office, describing his administration as one driven by purposeful leadership, people-oriented policies, and visible developmental achievements across the state.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Ibrahim Musa Maizare, the Union commended Governor Dauda Lawal for his unwavering commitment to tackling insecurity through continuous support to security agencies with operational vehicles, logistics, communication gadgets, and other strategic interventions aimed at restoring peace and protecting lives and property across Zamfara State.
The Council noted that the governor’s efforts in improving security coordination have gradually restored confidence among citizens, farmers, traders, and business owners, thereby encouraging social and economic activities in many communities previously affected by insecurity.
The NUJ also applauded the administration for recording remarkable achievements in infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, agriculture, youth empowerment, and urban renewal projects.
It particularly praised the rehabilitation of schools, payment of outstanding examination fees, and ongoing road construction projects across the state.
The Union specially appreciated Governor Dauda Lawal for the reconstruction and upgrading of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Secretariat in Zamfara State, describing the intervention as a major boost to journalism practice and a demonstration of the administration’s respect and support for the media profession.
While acknowledging that challenges still remain, the NUJ expressed confidence that Governor Dauda Lawal’s Rescue Mission Agenda would continue to deliver sustainable peace, development, and prosperity to the people of Zamfara State.
The Council also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the state government in promoting transparency, accountability, and socio-economic development.
