The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has conducted its senatorial primary election for the Bauchi North Senatorial District.
The exercise was held today at the Snow White Event Centre, Azare, under the supervision of officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and party stakeholders.
Delegates from the seven local government areas of the district participated in the direct voting process, where two aspirants contested for the party’s ticket: Dr. Abdulkadir Adamu Isawa and Alhaji Maula Adamu.
At the end of the election, Dr. Abdulkadir Adamu Isawa emerged winner with 137 votes, while his opponent, Alhaji Maula Adamu, scored zero vote.
Speaking after the announcement of the results, Dr. Isawa thanked PDP members and delegates for the confidence reposed in him.
He called on party supporters to remain united and work towards the victory of the PDP in the forthcoming elections.
Dr. Isawa also commended INEC officials and security personnel for ensuring a peaceful and transparent exercise.
He further promised to provide quality leadership and promote the development of the Bauchi North Senatorial District if elected.
