In efforts to provide maximum protection of lives and properties of the citizens the Gombe state Command of the Nigeria and Civil Defence Corps Muhammad Bello Mu’azu has led a powerful team to show off force in Gombe against the August 1 Planned Protest.
Commandant acted on the directives of the Commandant General of the Corps Dr Abubakar Ahmed Audi, to provide tight security around the critical assets and infrastructure to forestall any act of vandalism, breach of public peace, law and order against the planned # END BAD GOVERNANCE Nationwide protest,
A statement signed by the Command Public Relations Officer SP Buhari Sa’ad said the commandant has personally led a show of force of human and material assets in the State capital.
Added that the show of force which started from the Command State headquarters on a trek to Jekadafari, Abatcha Street down to London Doruwa among other places was intended to show the Command’s readiness and duty to protect the public professionally at all times.
He explained that the Command has equally, placed robust security measures and has deployed personnel adequately, across all critical assets to prevent any act of vandalism or violence to ensure the safety and security of all in the State.

He therefore called on the youths to shelve the protest and embrace peaceful paths of agitating their demands within the armpit of the law.
The statement also shows that the Corps will work in synergy with other Security and law enforcement agencies to maintain peace and tranquillity in the estate.
