The #Endbadgovernance and hunger protests had gathered a large crowd of youth including women and children, in parts of the Kano metropolis.
From Kabuga underpass to Rijyar Zaki to BUK New Campus, down to Watari river in Janguza, were groups of protesters shouting and chanting, ‘Ba ma yi, (literally, we don’t support this government), end bad governance, end injustice and to hell with the oppressors’ among others.
Some were carrying placards and banners with inscriptions such as, ‘Tinubu must go, bring back fuel subsidies and so on. One protester was even shouting, ‘To hell with Nigeria.’
In an interview with some of the protesters carrying dangerous traditional weapons, they stated that what brought them out was to show their concern about the, I don’t care attitude of the government, in respect to the hardship encountered by the people.
Some of them said they were all out for life or death, until the government reversed its policies, for the betterment of the common people.
No casualties, however, one lady driving her Mercedes C -class lost her rear windscreen to the mob.
Tyres were burnt on the way causing huge smoke in the atmosphere.
